At almost 3 years old, Charger is settling into retirement beautifully. Aside from needing a cat-free home, he’s about as close to perfect as they come. He’s a true gentleman—friendly and affectionate without being pushy, easygoing with other greyhounds, and an absolute pleasure to have around.

He proved what a great guy he is during the long 10-hour trip from West Virginia to New York, riding patiently alongside the other hounds without missing a beat. His calm, sweet nature has continued to shine since arriving in foster care.

Of course, as Charger gets more comfortable with pet life, we’re expecting a little mischief here and there—and honestly, that’s part of the fun! Watching these retired racers discover toys, couches, and all the little joys of being a beloved family dog is one of the best parts of the journey.
