Smart… Fun… Helpful… and a Hug-Giver, Too!
Yep, Xavier checks all those boxes—and then some!

Xavier arrived from West Virginia in late June, and his foster Mom has quickly discovered what a truly lovely boy he is. He’s young, fun, curious, and apparently has decided that being a good houseguest means helping with the chores!

He has mastered the stairs and even figured out the doggy door. He loves to play, eats like a champ, and has learned that good boys wait patiently for their meals. He enjoys his walks and is a terrific leash companion.

And then there’s his helpful side. When his foster Mom sweeps, Xavier thinks the throw rugs need to be picked up, too—and he’ll even attempt to help carry the laundry to the washer. We’re not sure how much actual laundry makes it into the washing machine, but we certainly appreciate the enthusiasm!

Xavier is an energetic young guy, so we think he’d be a wonderful match for a family with older children who are ready for some fun. He isn’t quite the bravest of the bunch, though, so having another dog in his forever home would be important. A confident canine companion would help show him the ropes and remind him that the world really is a pretty wonderful place.

He loves his toys, enjoys being outside, likes taking walks, and is always ready to hop aboard whatever adventure you have planned. Basically, if you’re going somewhere, Xavier would like to know one thing:

“Can I come, too?”

And did we mention the hugs?

Xavier gives them freely and apparently believes that every good human deserves one.

He’s a whole lot of fun wrapped up in one handsome greyhound package—and he’s waiting to meet the lucky family who gets to discover just how special he is!
