Mr. Hammer here, reporting live from foster headquarters! 🐾

I’m currently living with two foster sisters. Sure, I’m the big guy in the house, but I’m a total gentleman and always respect their space. I like having my little entourage around, but if I’m home alone after a nice walk, I might sing the song of my people with a few tiny peeps before deciding a nap is a much better idea.

Let’s talk about my favorite subject: FOOD. I’ve got an internal dinner clock that is never wrong. When it’s time to eat, I politely remind foster mom with adorable little whines and a sprint to the kitchen. Pretty smart, huh? I’m also excellent at letting her know when I need a potty break. On leash? I’m a potty pro. I’ve even got such a reliable schedule that foster mom cheers for me like I just won an Olympic medal.

Apparently I’m a bit of a ham…which is fitting because, well, Hammer. I love dramatically flopping onto the floor, rolling around with my toys, and generally entertaining everyone with my goofy antics.

For the first few days, foster mom nicknamed me Shadow because I followed her everywhere. These days I’ve gained some confidence and enjoy wandering the house on my own. I even discovered this magical invention called a dog bed. It’s fantastic! I’m perfectly happy snoozing there—I don’t need to steal the human bed or the couch.

Out on walks, I’m the definition of a gentleman. I walk nicely on leash, love meeting new people, and soak up compliments about my spectacular ears (they really are showstoppers). Sometimes unexpected noises make me pause, but I always check in with foster mom for a little reassurance. A few kind words and some pets, and I’m ready to keep going. Every new adventure makes me a little braver. Case in point: stairs. The first time? Absolutely not. Now? Call me Rocky—I conquer them like a champ.

Life in foster care has been pretty great, but what I really dream about is a family to call my own. If you’re looking for a goofy sidekick, a world-class cuddle buddy, and a sweet boy who will keep you laughing every day, I’m your guy. I promise to fill your home with kisses, smiles, and plenty of Hammer-sized happiness. ❤️
