Silver is a big handsome boy who just turned 5 and had a successful racing career of 147 starts and now he’s ready to find his forever family. He’s a gentle giant and is always super excited to greet you with more smiles than a kid on Christmas morning (see his picture below showing his teeth – that’s a greyhound SMILE). He settles quickly and will stay by your side soaking up all of the love you can give.  He has adjusted flawlessly with two other fosters and the resident pack of greys as well as a Chihuahua. He also passed our preliminary cat test!

He has plenty of energy, so he’d be great for a family where he gets to go on long walks and lots of toy time…he likes all stuffies but he loves balls…he even knows how to catch…! He’s mastered stairs with very little effort and has perfect house manners.  All this going for him and he’s just striking when you see him….oh did we forget to mention he loves giving kisses too.

Silver would do best in a home where his humans aren’t gone long or often. He’s a dog who loves deeply and forms a bond quickly.  When his humans are away he needs the company of other dogs to give him security.  

He’s a wonderful hound and we know the right home is waiting for him.
